Appeal for Support for Jonathan Wedger
Wilfred Wong, 3 April 2017
Jonathan Wedger receiving a Commendation for Devotion to Duty. This was before he exposed the cover-up by his police force of child prostitution in London, after which the relentless persecution and bullying started against him and continues to this day.
Jonathan Wedger is a Christian and an outstanding Police Detective in London. He has been severely harassed and persecuted by his own police force Ė The Metropolitan Police - since he tried to expose child prostitution in various areas of London and the attempts by the police to cover it up. Jon was punished for diligently performing his duty to serve and protect, trying to safeguard vulnerable children from sexual exploitation.
The Police have also reduced Jonís salary by 50% since January 2017 and they plan to reduce his salary to zero in June this year. As a result of the long and relentless bullying that Jon has received from the Met for being a Whistleblower, he currently suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Jon has tried to obtain medical retirement from the police, that will at least entitle him to some pension, but this has been refused.
It appears that there are people involved in using the child prostitutes or in pimping them out that senior police officers are keen to protect, and apparently some policemen may also be involved in these child prostitution rackets. So the police have prevented Jon from doing his duty and also punished him.
Jon had an excellent record before he exposed the police's cover up of child prostitution in London. He had received 8 senior officer commendations, three service medals and numerous quality of service reports. He had gained local, national and international media attention for his investigative ability. Jon had even gained a place in Scotland Yard's Black museum as the result of one of his investigations.
Jon has 4 sons to support and a mortgage to pay.
All this is practically impossible to do with the huge and unjust pay cuts that have been forced on him.
Previously one of his sons, Tyler, was self-supporting, but on 4th March 2017 Tyler had a serious accident, breaking his neck and badly damaging his spine. He is still warded in hospital at the time of writing and will probably need extensive long term care.
There is an epidemic of child sex abuse in the UK. This is fuelled by the unwillingness of the British police in many cases to thoroughly investigate allegations of child sex abuse, as they should. In many instances, as in Jon's case, the police have actively covered up child sexual exploitation or abuse.
Most British police officers will not dare to speak out against such corruption and cover ups of child sex abuse, while they are serving officers, for fear of a backlash and of losing their pension.
The English newspaper, the London Evening Standard, reported on Friday 7 August 2015 that dozens of retired British police officers were "desperate to tell the truth" over claims of sex abuse by important and influential men that they were told to keep quiet about.
Jonathan Wedger is one of the only British police officers who has spoken out strongly against the cover up of child sex abuse, while he was still a serving officer, and he has paid a huge price for his bravery and commitment to protect children. In his long and lonely struggle for justice, Jonathan urgently needs our prayers and financial support.

Re: Support for Detective Constable Jonathan Wedger (Metropolitan Police)
Commissioner Cressida Dick
Metropolitan Police Service
New Scotland Yard
London SW1A 2JL
I write to you to offer support for Dc Jonathan Wedger and to oppose the bullying campaign by the Metropolitan Police Service against him for being a Whistleblower.
As you may be aware Dc Wedger in accordance with his oath of office served the public without fear or favour when he boldly and bravely made serious allegations against his employer for the cover up of the most abhorrent form of criminality; that being the sexual exploitation of children. In doing this he served the public as we would expect. What is not expected and should not be tolerated is the sustained, long-term campaign of bullying that he experienced, and still does endure from your officers and staff.
Due to the severity of the bullying Dc Wedger was subjected to, he now suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). This has officially been recognised as an Industrial Injury with the causal link being the bullying he has received from his employers in response to his tenacity and dedication in exposing child prostitution within your Policing remit. This officer has now been placed on to half pay with the imminent threat of no pay at all in June 2017. He is a single parent with four sons, one of whom lies critically ill in an intensive care unit after a serious accident. Unless his pay is fully restored very soon, Dc Wedger is likely to lose his home as he will not be able to pay his mortgage.
Dc Wedger is being severely and wrongfully punished for doing what was morally right, professionally right and moreover what the public expected of him.
I therefore strongly urge that this courageous man has his pay rightfully and fully restored, with immediate effect, and that the bullying against him is stopped right now.
I also ask that all the child prostitution in London that Dc Wedger's investigations exposed be thoroughly investigated by the Metropolitan Police Service and that all those responsible for the sexual exploitation of the child prostitutes are swiftly brought to justice and punished for their crimes.
I look forward to your reply.
